I am an awarded Practitioner Counselling and Health Psychologist and Supervisor, Person-Centred Psychotherapist/Counsellor, and Professional Transformational Coach.

Therapy sessions are typically on a weekly basis. My therapy session is 50-60 minutes. They can be either face-to-face at my consulting room in Edinburgh, or online via Skype/Teams/WhatsApp video, or over the phone

I am a Practitioner Counselling and Health Psychologist and Supervisor, Psychotherapist/Counsellor, and Professional Transformational Coach, as well as Reiki Practitioner. I have 14 years of experience as a clinician and 11 years as a clinical supervisor and trainer. My clinical work, workshops, talks, writings, and presence have touched the lives of hundreds of people over the years nationally and internationally.
- I work with any type and degree of psychological difficulty and life situation you might find yourself in, including anxiety, depression, life crisis, abuse, gender and sexuality issues, identity issues, health anxiety, low self worth, dissatisfaction with appearance. I have particular expertise in abuse/narcissistic processes, extreme adversity and trauma, as well as skin conditions and appearance distress.
- I provide psychological treatment, psychological/mental health assessments, plastic surgery and gender incongruence assessments, medicolegal reports, workshops, and consultancy.
- I am an expert in helping you to reconnect with yourself and rebuild your identity and sense of self, especially so after adversity.
- I am the lead author of the Acts of Recovery, the first evidence-based, survivor-centred self-help booklet for survivors of childhood abuse, which led to my being named in the top 100 Nation's Lifesavers List in 2019..
- I have also been awarded the BJN Dermatology Award 2016, as part of the team of trainers delivering the first ever Dermatology Masterclass nationally and internationally. My clinical experience spans across the NHS, the voluntary sector and the independent practice over 14 years.
HOW I CAN HELP YOU
Zoë Chouliara Psychology offers psychological therapy, counselling and supervision for adults, children and adolescents, as well as families.
Sessions are at my practice in Edinburgh city centre, only a 15-minute walk from Waverly train station. I can also carry out appointments by phone, Zoom, Skype, Teams or WhatsApp Video Calls. You can also have a 10-15 minute phone call with me a get to know me before we proceed with any appointments.
